''Si hay una caracteristica que define a este dj, es sin duda, su elegancia al mando de los platos. Dj Grobas comienza su carrera a principios del año 1997, trabajando en casi todos los clubs coruñeses, a mediados del año 1997 contacta con Dj Ino, y desde entoces han trabajado juntos en todos sus proyectos, pasando por el antiguo House Café de Gomez Zamalloa, Telefunken, etc. Este año comienzan un nuevo e interesante reto; House Café Music, que será su principal plataforma para lanzar sus propias producciones. Dj Grobas, ha actuado en infinidad de clubs de toda España, Portugal, y ha tenido el privilegio de viajar varias veces a la ciudad de New York, donde es miembro del colectivo de djs y músicos, Funky Soul Rebels, y donde a demostrado su gran virtud como dj. Ha pinchado en algunas de las fiestas underground y más respetadas, como: Turntables On The Hudson, Shapire Lounge, Bang The Party, etc, resaltar también, su última gira por la costa oeste americana, donde ha pinchado en las ciudades de Los Angeles, Portland, Pasadena y Eugene, en todas ellas ha demostrado su gran faceta como dj, dejando el pabellón español muy alto. En el año 2000 parte de su trabajo y gusto musical queda reflejado en una compilación para la firma Pull & Bear, junto a Dj Ino, en un doble cd mix llamado, We Love Jazz, la acogida del público fue impresionante y tuvo una gran promoción en revistas especializadas, radio, etc. Ha realizado tres giras en Rusia visitando ciudades como Moscú, San Petersburgo y Siberia, en los clubs Propaganda, Luk Club y Decadande. Destacar también, que ha sido el primer dj gallego en ser invitado a actuar en el festival Sónar, en la edición del año 1998, también ha actuado en festivales de la talla de, Phonotica 1999 & 2001, Satisfaxion 97, Santirock 2000. Sus gustos musicales se decantan por el deephouse más puro, pero si las circunstancias lo requieren se adentrará en terrenos más ''''movidos'''' e hipnoticos, haciendo asi las delicias de sus numerosos seguidores. Se puede decir que Dj Grobas es un dj ''''todoterreno'''', y lo puedes escuchar pinchando desde sus sesiones más deep, hasta sus sets más bailables. En estos momentos se encuentra muy centrado en su trabajo en su pequeño estudio, donde compagina su faceta de dj con la de productor. Dj Grobas puts magic on the turntables. Born on Feb. 12th 1974, in a northern region of Spain, known as Galicia. DJ Grobas began his career in 1997, working at most clubs in the city of La Coruña. In the middle of that same year Grobas met up a DJ named Ino, and from then on they've established a very successful partnership. Founding two of the best clubs in the North of Spain..... House Café and Telefunken.Since then Dj Grobas, has played in many parts of the world including Portugal - Paradise Garage, Lisbon, Vaticano Oporto, Russia ''''Propaganda'''', Moscow ,''''Decadance'''' , St. Petersburg, ''''the luk'''' Siberia, USA and of course all of Spain. In 1998, Grobas recieved a huge honnor, as he was the first galician dj ever to be invited to perform at the Sónar Festival. In 2000 Grobas´s first trip to the city of New York, enhanced his vision of music. He and his partner Ino met with Seph, a founding member of a collective of dj's and musicians, dedicated to the deep house scene known as Funky Soul Rebels. At the end of their trip they imediately became part of the global collective, Because of their unique and soulful sound. Grobas has shown his true virtue as a dj performing in some of the most respected underground parties, in NYC such as ''''Turntables On The Hudson''''@ Chelsea Piers, ''''Mondaze'''' @Sapphire Lounge, ''''Bang The Party''''@ Frank´s Lounge,'''' Space'''' & ''''Beyond the Dance''''- FSR Loft parties and many, many more, say too, his last tour around the US west coast, playing in Los Angeles, Pasadena, Portland, Eugene . In the year 2001 Grobas, with partner Dj Ino released a double CD (mixed) compilation for a nationally known line of clothing from Spain called Pull & Bear. Because of it´s great success, ''''We Love Jazz'''' is still being sold today and is considered one of the best Dj sessions ever recorded in Spain. The CD also recieved great promotion in specialized magazines, national radio, and bill boards across Spain. Grobas also has had the oppurtunity to play in festivals like Phonotica 1999 & 2001, Satisfaxion 97, Santirock 2000, Groove Parade 2003. His musical taste is pure deephouse with a hypnotic terrain, treading the ears of his followers. One could say that Dj Grobas is a ver diverse dj, and you can hear him dj the most deepest sessions, to his most danceable sets. Currently you can find Grobas producing in his home studio where he is preparing tracks for the crew´s news labels Thrasher Home Recordings & House Cafe Music.
