Sally Shapiro returns with a new single on Permanent Vacation. "Miracle", a blend of Italo disco and indie pop, is a preview to the forthcoming album "My Guilty Pleasure". Comes in a remix by Bogdan Irkük aka Bulgari (Soul Jazz Recordings, Rollerboys). The queen of EUROPOP and ITALODISCO, SALLY SHAPIRO, is finally back. Her debut album "DISCO ROMANCE" came out in 2006 and was nominated for "dance/electronic album of the year" at U.S. Plug Awards and also voted in Pitchfork Media's top 50 albums of 2007. After two highly praised 12"s on PERMANENT VACATION in 2008 (including remixes from the like of JUNIOR BOYS, LINDSTRÖM, TENSNAKE, THE JUAN MCLEAN a.o), it’s time for the next single from her eagerly awaited second longplayer "MY GUILTY PLEASURE" due to be released in August this year. Sally Shapiro's new single "MIRACLE" is a blend of 80s-inspired italo disco and twee indie pop - melancholic yet hopeful, sweet yet danceable, it's a great slice of pop music and comes complete in an extented vocal and instrumental mix, again produced by Johan Agebjörn. On the flipside up-coming producer BOGDAN IRKÜK A.K.A BULGARI, best known for his work on SOUL JAZZ RECORDS and ROLLERBOYS RECORDINGS (remember his bittersweet remix for Jens Lekman), turns the original into a dreamy summer anthem, perfect for your next beach or pool party.
