After introducing the world to the beautiful sound that is Laszlo, Lydian Label return with their second release `November' by Music Box. This is a collaboration between Laszlo and his fellow composer Todd Baker. It is a coming together of two extremely talented multi-instrumentalists, adding their own distinct and varying styles to create another fine Lydian Label release!

Each track blends Todd¿s expert guitar skills with Laszlo's ever emerging talent on the Piano. As is the way with Laszlo, all instruments and sounds are sampled from scratch, cut up and given a nice dose of manipulation through effects and filtering.

All three original tracks blend a collection of live instruments with sampled sounds recorded from a variety of random items or sounds, ranging from toothbrushes to recorded sound in their local Redditch shopping centre of all places!

The opening track 'November' highlights Todd's talent on the guitar, with some lovely harmonics and melodies, blended with the cut up percussive piano style that is Laszlo. `The Kingfisher' runs at a slightly faster pace, but keeps the same techniques and this time with piano motifs that have a distinct flavour of Debussy about them.

'Wake Up Doggy' has a more quirky groove to it, in a Luke Vibert or Mr Scruff vein, showing a different side to what this duo are capable of.

The final track, a remix of The Kingfisher, is a real beauty and a fine finish to this polished EP. A different style again with a prominent kick and bass throughout, once again highlighting the versatility and talent of these two. Watch out for what the future holds, this is purely a taster!
